In May 2006, 23 obituaries for Serge Lang were published by the Notices of the AMS.  The mathematician Lang accused the HIV-AIDS establishment of bad, politically motivated science.  In 1996 he left the prestigious American Mathematical Society, because his critique of a politically motivated AIDS paper published by the Notices was censored. pdfNotices of the AMS, 53, p536-553 (2006)
